Jeder weiß, dass Bären Honig lieben. Eines Tages schaut Herr Bär in seinen Schrank und kann keinen Honig finden.
Everybody knows that bears love honey. One day Mr. Bear looks in his cupboard and he can't find any honey.
„Oh nein! Kein Honig!“, sagt Herr Bär. Also geht er in den Wald, um Honig zu finden.
"Oh no! No honey!" says Mr. Bear. So he goes into the forest to find honey.
Da sieht er in einem Baum einen Bienenstock hängen. Er kann den Honig riechen. „Mmm! Honig!“
Er steckt seine Pranke in den Bienenstock und… summ, summ, summ! Eine Biene fliegt heraus.
„Heh, Bär! Geh weg!“, ruft die Biene ihm zu. „Das ist nicht dein Honig!“
There he sees a beehive hanging in a tree. He can smell the honey. "Yum! Honey!"
He sticks his paw into the beehive and….zzzz zzzz zzzz! A bee flies out.
“Hey, bear! Go away!” the bee calls out to him. "This is not your honey!"
Herr Bär ist verärgert.
„Ich bin größer als du. Ich bin stärker als du. Ich kann tun, was ich will!“, sagt er. „Jetzt, schwirr ab!“
Mr. Bear is annoyed.
“I am bigger than you. I am stronger than you. I can do what I want!" he says. "Now, buzz off!*”
* Note: German has the same expression as English. Buzz off = Go away!
Herr Bär steckt nochmals seine Pranke in den Bienenstock und… summ, summ, summ! PIEKS!
AUTSCH! Die Biene sticht ihm direkt in die Nase.
Mr. Bear sticks his paw into the beehive again and….ZZZZZZZZZ! ZING!
OUCH! The bee stings him right on his nose.
„Meine Nase! Meine Nase! Oooh, na warte, du!“, tobt Herr Bär.
Herr Bär schnappt sich einen großen Stock, und schlägt nach der Biene damit. Er schwingt den Stock hin und her, aber die Biene ist zu schnell! Herr Bär wird immer wütender.
“My nose! My nose! Oooh, just you wait!" rages Mr. Bear.
Mr Bear grabs a big stick and swings at the bee with it. He swings the stick back and forth, but the bee is too fast! Mr Bear gets angrier and angrier (literally: always angrier).
„GARRRRRGH! KOMM HER!“
Die Biene fliegt zurück in den Bienenstock.
"GARRRRRGHGHGH! COME HERE!"
The bee flies back into the beehive.
„AHA! Jetzt bist du in der Falle!“, lacht Herr Bär.
Er schlägt mit dem Stock auf den Bienenstock ein. Bamm! Bamm! Bamm! Und schlägt ihn in Stücke!
"AH HAH! Now you're trapped! (literally: now you’re in the trap)" laughs Mr Bear.
He swings (with) the stick at the beehive. Smash! Smash! Smash! And smashes it to pieces!
Da hört er ein merkwürdiges Brummen. Es wird immer lauter…
Brumm! Summ, Summ, SUMM! BRUMM!
Da kommen Tausende von Bienen aus dem zerschlagenen Bienenstock geflogen!
Then he hears a strange hum. It gets louder and louder (literally: always louder)…
ZZZZ! ZZZZ! ZZZ! Zzzz! ZZZZZZZZZZ! Zzzz! ZZZZ!
Thousands of bees come flying out of the battered beehive.
Sie schwirren um Herrn Bärs Kopf herum…
SUMM, SUMM, SUMM… PIEKS! Ein Stich ins Ohr!
PIEKS! PIEKS! In den Ellbogen!
They buzz around Mr. Bear's head…
ZZZZZZZZZ… ZING! A sting on the ear!
ZING ZING! On the elbows!
So jagen sie Herrn Bär durch den Wald, stechen ihn in die Arme, die Beine, in seine Pranken und vor allem in seine Nase!
PIEKS! PIEKS! PIEKS!
They chase Mr. Bear through the forest, stinging him on the arms, the legs, his paws and especially on his nose!
ZING! ZING! ZING!
Herr Bär rennt den ganzen Weg zurück nach Hause und wirft die Tür zu.
Da hört er eine Stimme hinter sich.
Mr. Bear runs all the way back home and slams the door shut.
Then he hears a voice behind him.
Es ist Frau Bär. „Es war mal wieder so weit, oder?“, sagt sie. „Du hast deine Beherrschung verloren!“
„Ja“, gesteht er unter Tränen, während er seine Bienenstiche zählt.
It’s Mrs. Bear. “It happened again (literally: it was that time again), didn’t it?” she says. “You have lost your temper.”
“Yes,” he admits in tears, while counting his bee stings.
„Hier ist das Mittel gegen die Stiche“, sagt Frau Bär. „Außerdem haben wir Honig im Schrank. Er ist hinter dem Mehl.“
“Here’s the bee-sting remedy (literally: remedy against the stings),” says Mrs. Bear. “Also, we have honey in the cupboard. It is behind the flour.”
Moral: Ein hitziges Temperament bringt dich immer in Schwierigkeiten.
Moral: A hot temper always gets you into trouble.
