”¡El sonido… viene desde afuera de la ventana!”
“What is that sound?” he whispers.
Tap! Tap!
“The sound… it’s coming from outside the window!”
El león se baja de la cama, toma un bate de béisbol y camina de puntillas hacia la ventana.
¡CLAC! ¡CLAC!
The lion climbs out of bed, grabs a baseball bat and walks on tip-toes towards the window.
TAP! TAP!
“¡Es un monstruo!” piensa el león. Toma su casco de bicicleta y se lo pone en la cabeza para protegerse. El león escucha el ruido otra vez.
¡CLAC! ... ¡CLAC! … ¡CLAC!
“It’s a monster!” thinks the lion. He grabs his bicycle helmet and puts it on his head for protection. The lion hears the sound again.
TAP! ... TAP! ... TAP!
El león se aterroriza. “¡Se está acercando! ¡Suena como el monstruo MÁS GRANDE, el MÁS ESPANTOSO jamás!”
¡CLAC!
¡CLAC-CLAC!
¡CLAC-CLAC-CLAC-CLAC-CLAC!
The lion is terrified. “It’s getting closer! It sounds like the BIGGEST, SCARIEST monster ever!”
TAP!
TAP-TAP!
TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP!
"¡Ihhh!" Corre lejos de la ventana y se esconde debajo de la cama. Se cubre la cabeza con una cobija y sujeta firmemente su bate de béisbol con sus manos, y …

“¡Hola León! ¿Estás ahí?” dice la rana.
A tiny frog jumps up on the window sill. The frog is wearing a tutu and tap shoes. The frog does a little dance.
TAP!
“Hello Lion! Are you there?” says the frog.
Ella mira por la ventana y ve al León escondido debajo de la cama, envuelto en una cobija con un casco de bicicleta y sujetando un bate de béisbol. El león se ve ridículo.
(Y para ser honesto, se siente ridículo también.)
She looks in the window and sees the lion hiding under the bed, wrapped in a blanket, in a bicycle helmet, and holding a baseball bat. The lion looks ridiculous.
(And to be honest, he feels ridiculous too.)
"Emmm… tengo algunos nuevos pasos de baile para mostrarte”, dice la rana. “Pero, te ves … ocupado. Vendré más tarde. ¡Nos vemos!”
"Ummm… I have some new dance steps to show you," says the frog. "But you look busy. I will come back later. See ya!"
La rana salta hacia el suelo y se aleja bailando felizmente.
¡CLAC! ¡CLAC! ¡CLAC!
The frog hops down to the ground and happily dances away.
TAP! TAP! TAP!
Moraleja: A veces nuestra imaginación hace las cosas más aterradoras de lo que son.
